How we source
Every product in the Yashara range follows our sourcing code. Here's exactly what that means.
Direct supplier relationships
We visit every supplier we work with in person before we place an order. We meet the people who make our products, see the conditions they work in, and understand their process. We do not use sourcing agents or buying offices.
Fair payment
We pay at least 20% above local market rates for all goods. Payment is made within 30 days of delivery — or immediately for smaller producers who request it. We never use payment delays as leverage.
No child labour
We have a zero-tolerance policy. Any supplier found to use child labour is immediately dropped. We conduct unannounced visits at least once per year.
Environmental standards
We favour natural dyes, organic fibres, and low-waste production processes. For our spices, we work exclusively with farms that do not use synthetic pesticides. Packaging is plastic-free where possible.
Carbon offsetting
International shipping has a carbon footprint. We calculate the emissions for each shipment and purchase verified offsets through a certified scheme. Details are available on request.
